Research Computing Lunch

The first hour of this session will cover typical nomenclature and concepts found in High Performance Scientific Computing. We will talk generally about system architecture, network, scheduling, storage, and software. This session will be an active discussion to help with your understanding of Scientific Computing, including how it can benefit your workflows and research, so please come with your questions and challenges!

In the second hour, we will be available for consultation about your workflows and research, whether you use the Odyssey Cluster or not. Please also come with your ideas for future topics, including examples of Astronomy domain specific issues. We will use these suggestions to come up with future sessions. Laptops are not required for this first session.
