Shealynn Hendry worked at the Wolbach Library from September 2019 to September 2022. As the Collections Assistant, she contributed to the management of historical collections and circulating materials. Her responsibilities included the curation of two exhibits for the library’s on-site display cases, one focused on marginalia in the Wolbach’s circulating collection and the other on the history of glass plate photography at the Harvard College Observatory. She similarly developed an accompanying digital exhibit using ArcGIS StoryMaps software and wrote numerous blog posts for the Wolbach’s Galactic Gazette on topics relating to the history of astronomy and library collections. Her other major projects pertained to the management of library materials in ArchiveSpace, including the upload of new digital content to an existing collection, the arrangement and creation of new finding aids, and large-scale revisions of the Project PHaEDRA finding aid.
Shealynn completed her MLIS in Archive Management and MA in History from Simmons University in May 2022. She is now a PhD candidate in History at the University of Cambridge.
