Wolbach Library develops and curates two controlled vocabularies to support the information needs of the international astronomy community: The Unified Astronomy Thesaurus and MetaSat.
Each vocabulary contains machine-actionable identifiers for important concepts that represent different aspects of the field. These identifiers can enable:
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Federated search across platforms via APIs
- Linked data applications
